The Norwegian Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NND) has been commissioned by the government to decommission the Norwegian nuclear activities. In strong competition with other established consulting companies, Advansia has won a framework agreement for "Administrative Assistance" to support NND with the extensive work. The team includes FRONT Leadership, BDO, Amesto People & Culture and Leidar.
- We are delighted that NND is investing in leadership and recognizes the importance of good leaders on their journey of change going forward. Together, we can ensure that leadership is at the forefront and that leaders represent what they want to see in others. "We want every employee to have a great leader, and we're delighted that NND is taking responsibility for moving in that direction. They won't regret it," says Mats Kristensen, CEO of FRONT Leadership.
The framework agreement covers five sub-areas, and FRONT Leadership and partners will deliver the following sub-areas within "Administrative assistance":
- Finance and accounting
- Business development and management /Organizational development
- Project employee
- HR
- Communication
The framework agreement per sub-area will have a duration of 2 years with an option for the client to extend the agreement by up to 1 + 1 year. The maximum duration of the framework agreement is 4 years.
- "This is a comprehensive project that will also require a lot of capacity in administrative disciplines. With these framework agreements, we ensure access to critical expertise and experience in order to carry out good processes and deliveries," says Ann-Cathrin Becken, Sector Director Administration at NND.
- FRONT Leadership has experienced strong growth since its inception in 2015, and the fact that we have won one of the sub-areas shows great confidence in what we deliver, and not least the expertise we possess. Together with the other partners, we will create measurable and lasting behavioral changes for the benefit of NND's managers and employees. FRONT Leadership delivers a breadth within the sub-area that shows that our services are at the forefront of what is necessary to succeed in major change processes that NND is going through," says Kristensen.

Transition to more sustainable energy sources
Over the next 25 years, NND will decommission the Norwegian nuclear industry. The decommissioning will include decommissioning these facilities, handling spent fuel and all other radioactive waste produced in Norway. To do this, there will also be a need to build new facilities for handling and storage.
The Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) is currently the licensee and owner of the Norwegian nuclear facilities. In time, NND will take over IFE's license and ownership of the nuclear facilities. This means that both facilities and personnel will be transferred to NND's organization by 2024.
Since the 1990s, IFE has held a leading position in Norwegian energy and environmental research, with a focus on hydrogen storage, environmental technology, solar energy and renewable energy systems
